Petal Perfume
My passion for natural beauty began at a young age. I recall my first attempt at formulating involved crushing rose and geranium petals with spring water to make "perfume" - cajooling those I loved into wearing the delightful scent.
Corporate v Holistic
I had an unusual upbringing, surrounded by inspirational entrepreneurs and natural healers. I spent a great deal of time with my Uncle, soaking up his extensive nutritional knowledge and learning how to eat intuitively for health. I understood from a young age to achieve optimal health, mind, body and soul have to be nourished and connected.
Toxic Arsenal
At University, I recall coming to the shocking conclusion that commercial skincare charged customers a premium to damage and age their skin. I began making my own rudimentary natural skincare based on what I had learnt as a child.
Later, I read Star Khechara's "The Holistic Beauty Book: With Over 100 Natural Recipes for Beautiful Skin" and found myself using raw ingredients intuitively, to make beautiful skincare.
Exit Law, Stage Left
I continued in the corporate world, becoming more disillusioned and frustrated. Studying Star’s diploma in holistic cosmetology grounded me, helping me to regain my focus and passion.
Mission: Skinfood
I now had my mission in life - create exquisite skincare, drawing upon my knowledge of nutrition, vitality and wellness. Bare Skin Beauty was borne out of my determination to formulate and hand produce skincare with love, made with the finest, raw ingredients for radiant, blissfully youthful, healthy skin.
